Across the six Zn application rates, the mean total concentrations of Zn, Cu, Cd, Pb, As and Cr in the soil were 108.4, 21.5, 0.4, 11.0, 6.3 and 21.4 mg kg −1, respectively (Table 1). The total Zn concentration in soil increased with Zn rates, with the highest level of 185.8 mg kg −1 being observed in the treatment of 34.1 kg Zn ha −1 .

The range for concentration of Cu, Zn, Pb, and Cd was 2.34–25.26, 43.9–71.3 µg/g, which is too low to be detected by the analytical techniques and 0.2–1., respectively. Concentration of Cu, Zn, and Pb were lower than those found in our study and concentration of Cd was higher than the concentration obtained in our study.
